how to change text direction

Yes, there is. First you have to make your curve or use one of the shapes (vector) then choose your text tool, hover it over the curve until you see the rocker appear, then type away. Your text will follow the curve or shape that you created.
When you're done, delete or hide the curve/shape and there you have your text.
