how to change sites?

Am novice at this. now want to change old site for new. what do i do to remove old site before uploading new? know this sounds weird but can't find info on deleting old site or is it preempted? thanks cccat

If you have the remote site setup correctly in DW just change to remote view in site files select all (except a holding home page) and delete them. Then just upload your new files.
