Hi Every Body

Is there is any way to change screen resolution Programmatically?. Iam using VFP9 + Win XP Proffisional.

Thanks in advance

Hi Kmagy,

This is certainly possible (and the thread that Keepingbusy suggested will point you in the right direction).

However, the usual answer to this type of question is: Why do you want to do this? In general, things like screen resolution are matters for the user to decide, and it's considered bad practice for a programmer to interfere with them. The user chooses the resolution to suit his or her personal preferences (and eyesight), and it's not for us to override those choices.

If your application cannot run below a certain resolution, by all means test the resolution on start-up, and advise the user if it is too low. But think carefully before you change it.

Mike
