I have set up several Crystal Reports in version 6. The datasource is set to one server. Now that the reports are finished in development, they are being moved to test. The Test Oracle server is a different server.

The new server name was sent to: crwReport.DataFiles. When the reports are run, they continue to pull from the old server.

What needs to be set to dynamically change the server location at run time that the reports will pull their data from?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

If you have the designer on the TEST machine, you could open the reports and perform a Set Location on them pointing them to the proper datasource. This should update the .rpt file with the new location.

Thank you for replying. We were trying to dynamically change the server of the report through code, but found that the Crystal ocx was unstable. Using your approach works. In the end, the server will not be changing. Thank you again.
