We create a group e.g. for superusers and then accord privileges to the group. The people who are to have those rights are then moved into the group as members using the members tab.
The privileges can be accorded to the group by checking the option boxes for the various applications within the privileges tab.
This approach means you don't have to configure individual users and you can easily build up privileges for a user by adding them to several groups e.g. a combined form designer (if using NiceUni) and administrator.

What exactly do you want to change? The privileges are stored in the SQL database. user_privileges should show the privileges granted to the user. privilege_info shows the "english" translation of the privilege_id to a privilege name.
The user_id for the nice user is 1.
I wouldn't suggest doing anything through the SQL back end if you don't know what you are doing though.
