Can someone please tell me how to change the netmask address on a Solaris 8 server?

Thanks. The ONE ( HP-UX + Solaris + AIX + Tru64 = Unix)

Using hme0 as an example:

ifconfig hme0 netmask 255.255.0.0

Change it in /etc/netmasks to make it permanent.

Thanks a lot. Greatly appreciated.. saved me a reboot and more ammunition against my fellow Windows Admins :-> The ONE ( HP-UX + Solaris + AIX + Tru64 = Unix)
