Hi,
Is there a way to Change Local policy on a windows 2000 machine using a command line?(Batch File)
Thanks a bunch

Open the command line and type secedit /? for more information.

You have to create the templates using the security MMC snap in, but can apply them using the secedit command line program, and thus run it from a network login script or batch file.

Find the registry equivalent (there almost always is one) and do a regedit /s registry_file.reg push of the registry change.

If you provided the policy of interest, someone in the Forum likely can give you the registry change needed.

In the alternative, you can copy configured local policy .pol files to workstations. This could be done remotely, or as part of the logon script. This is decidedly not elegant, but may prove effective in Workgroup settings:
