I have a BCM 400 and currently the IP provsioning is set to DHCP however it needs to be changed to Static. I have not changed these settings before and am unsure of what steps to take. Any help will be greatly apprciated.

Thanks

Nor sure of what version as it is very different from 3.xx to 4.0 .

For ver 3.7 - The network update wizard to change the IP might be the best way .

Check on DHCP /Global Options for IP set

such as Nortel-i2004-A,xx.xx.xx.xx:port,x,x,....

with xx.xx.xx.xx as your new fix IP

For 4.0

Configuration/network interface/ Interfaces ( bottom tab ) /Ip setting - Just modify . Make sure that you highlight the LANx that you want to publish which usually LAN1

If you have IP sets also check

Data Service/DHCP server/IP terminatl proxy S1 , S2

You might want to do a full reboot after changing the IP.

Weird things happen if you do not reboot it !!!
