Hi all,

I am importing a text file into MS Access 2003. File is fixed length. In the Import specificaion page [From advanced options when using the import wizard] the Code Page default was always 'OEM United States' now it defaults to 'Unicode UTF7' I don't know how it changed but I need it to default to 'OEM United States' Where do I change this? So when I import text files they use this encoding as the defult.

I have searched in few forums and google but I can't seem to find an answer for it.

Thanks in advance.

Sup?

I would check both the import specs and the database language options. In Acc07 on mine, on the office button, go to popular, then click the "language settings" button. In prior versions, you can get the language settings from the tools menu, then database options (or maybe just 'options'). Fish around for it.

Hope this helps.
