how to change hostname.domainname.com to appear as domainname.com ?

Hi there,

How do i change a sparc solaris 2.7 mail server running on sendmail & qpopper to be domainname.com from it's current hostname.domainname.com ??

Now when i send n receive mails... it comes as email@hostname.domainname.com, how do i change it to appear as email.domainname.com ??
