Hello,

If I have an Excel Workbook with a macro which creates a file, a reference/custom file type which is linked to the Workbook, for example, the reference file's data or text is linked with cell range A1. What should I do to create another file of that type from the same Workbook which is also a copy of the reference file, but its data is linked to another cell (e.g. cell range B1), and another file but is linked to the next cell?

What should I do with the macro or the reference file?

Any help will be great for my project. Thank you very much.

Hi Son56,

Could you post your macro code?

There are a number of ways to achieve your aim but it does depend on the way your file is set up.

Hi Danyul,

I have only used the FileCopy command.
The reference file (target), which has an object that is linked
to the excel workbook is my reference. Obviously,
if I create a copy of that file, the same link will be created.
Is there a way to copy the reference file with a different link?
