XXXX = the number you dial to get out

We need to know where this in order to help.

I doubt he know's what AC/AC2 or ESN means.

lets get the number he's dialing first and work from there.

OK I'm going to ask, what number do you press?

This is an Analogy so don't take it personally as some have.

Why change the engine if all you need is to change the spark plugs.

I know what you mean, I seem to have PMS today myself, I'm just a little short tempered with some of the questions.

Thanks,

I hope you have planned this out.

in 86

do prt

type ESN

and you will see the 9 as (probably) AC 1

That is what you will change.

Manager is asking if we can. Did not give me reason why. So I'm gathering that this may not be an easy change?

Can you fill in the blanks below once more:

ld XX
do a prt
?

Thanks again,

This is an easy change, but see if you can find out the reason as there may be a better way to do what ever he wants to do.

Making this change could cause other thing not to work any more like Speed Dial lists, NCFW on ACD groups, Auto Dial Keys.

So again YES this is an EASY change, but do you really want to do it????????

If your manager wants to do this to help reduce the number of bogus 911 calls, see my FAQs about how to deal with this WITHOUT having to change your Access COde and mess everyone up.

9 times out of 10 when people want to get away from '9' they are doing it to decrease the number of 911 misdials.

Good Questions with a reason for what you want to do will get a better answer than a (Can I do this) as the answer may change depending on what your trying to acomplish. There is usually more than one way to do things, but some may be better then others.
