I heard there is an icon in Control Panel in Windows, anyone know how to change the default port of 10000 to anything else?

I am running Backup Exec 9 which also uses port 10000 and there is no way to change it in Backup Exec.
Thanks!!

(1) On the host service that is running on the server, you'll have to change the port # (it's one of the menu options -- it should be easy to locate--it's pretty clearly labeled). I think have to stop/restart the service after the change
(2) Re-run workstation setup on each machine and during the installation, point it to the new port number
OR
Using notepad or some other text editor, pull up and manually edit the SOTA.INI file that exists under the MAS90/LAUNCHER directory on each workstation. The INI file has a [Servers] section and a [Active Servers] section that need to be tweaked. Each should have a line in the format of ipaddress;port#.

I suggest you change the service and tweak the SOTA.INI file on one workstation to see how that goes for you. It should be a fairly simple process.

Good luck!

I apologize that my original post is unclear. I use Veritas Backup Exec for a lot of my clients. Quite a few of them use MAS90 or MAS200.

Please give a detailed description of the menu's choices involved in changing the port that MAS90 or MAS200 uses.

Thank you!!
