Using word 2007, the default font is +headings. It will print garbage. If I change to arial, I am good. I know there is a "default" button in the lower left had corner, but it does not work!

Ideas?

In Word 2007, the default font is normally +Body but it will be +Headings if you are in a Heading. These are referenecs to Theme Fonts and the default Office Theme font for headings is Cambria.

There is no particular reason for Cambria to print as 'garbage'; it is installed with Office 2007.

I presume you mean the Default... button in the Font dialogue, but I don't know what you mean by doesn't work. Could you be a bit more specific?

Enjoy,
Tony

And note that Outlook 2007 is NOT using Word as the email editor. It has its own editor that looks like Word but needs setting up separately. So changing the default font in Word will do nothing in Outlook as they are separate entities.
