How to change color of a pattern? 1

I would like to fill an object with a basic line pattern (horizontal lines).

Among the patterns in the swatches library only black patterns are available. How do I change the color of a pattern? That is, how do I make a fill with horizontal lines (or whatever) in blue, instead of the default black?

Select your shape with the swatches pattern. Go to Edit>Edit Color and then use any of those options in the drop down menu to edit your pattern.
