How to change autoincrement number??

Is it possible to change the autoincrement so it will start at a different number. I have already records from another database where the (autoincrement) records go from 1000 to 1200 so after import I want to start at 1201

If you insert a value into an auto_increment column, MySQL should keep track of it and generate the appropriate auto_increment id.

oeps now it works

I tried it a while ago and then the next index remained the same number

I don't know. If you insert a number that is larger than the last-generated auto_increment number, MySQL should be aware of this and work around it.
