how to change a extention on a merlin magic

You do it under "STANDARD SPM".
System Program > Start/Exit > System Renumber > Single > Extension > Enter Old > Enter New.
If you are trying to "SWAP" 2 extensions, you have to give one a "FAKE" number 1st.
