Hi, I am new to this so please bear with me. This site has truly been very helpful to me. I would like to know how to change to 10 digit dialing using the CS1000E/CPMG128 Linux Release 7.

You want to change your extensions to 10 digit or when you dial an external # you want to change that from 7 to 10?

Just to clarify that your existing extensions are all 7 digits long and that you wish to make them all 10 digits long?.

You will need to build an SPN of the Area Code in LD 90 and send it to the same RLI as your NXX's

When I try to build a new SPN I received ESN072

ESN072 means it already exists, try printing it out.

It does not show up on the SPN but it does on the NPA?

That's the issue, it may work fine as an NPA. I always build them as SPN's. In Kansas I have to build an SPN of 913 and an NPA of 1913 because I have local and long distance dialing within 913 AC

I'm at a lost, because if ESN072 means that 1317 and 317 already exist what should I do next? Here the problem...when I dial a number using the area code it stops at 7 digits 9(317)123-3 (the 9 is to access outside). Here is another example...I can program a speed dial local number with the area code and it works. I do recall reading something about a pulse/delay (not sure if that means anything)??

I just looked at one of my switches in the 816 AC in Kansas City and it has 1816 and 816 both built as NPA's. They also have local and LD calling within 816.

This is what I get...

ld 90
REQ PRT
CUST 0
FEAT NET
TRAN AC1
TYPE NPA

NPA 317
ESN073

NPA 1317
RLI 5
SDRR NONE
ITEI NONE

I'm sorry...yes, that is our local area code and we are changing to 10 digit dialing.

That is quite odd that your local area code would be programmed as an NXX. You will need to out that as an NXX and make it either an SPN or NPA, that is why you are only getting 7 digits.

That worked. Thank you so much for working with me on this.
