Hi All,

Does anybody know how to change 1140e IP Softphone remotely ?

Thanks

Nick

That is a user defined feature at the set. I don't see how you can do it remotely.

Just use the Nortel-i2004-B DHCP option which was introduced in 2009... Set the blt and/or dimt parameter and you can set the Back light timer and/or the Phone inactivity timer to dim the screen.

But that is for all sets that do a DHCP query and users need to change it back if they want other settings.

If Bill Gates had a nickel for every time Windows crashed... Oh wait, he does...

Using a device.prv file might do the trick for the one device.

Actually, I would need to change the backlight timer for quite a few number of IP phones (300-500), therefore instead of modifying each one manually I am looking for a way to globally modify them. Until now I couldn't find an easy way.

Is there any parameter on the SIG Server which could eventually change the backlight timer for all the sets ?

Thanks & Regards

Nick

Use the Nortel-i2004-B DHCP option in your DHCP server. Restart the phones and when they do a DHCP query they will get the new setting
