How to CFW an Extension to Vmail without using a physical phone

Customer states that x555 use to call forward directly to voicemail and now it rings busy.

x555 is on an inactive digital port. Is there a way to forward x555 to voicemail directly without having to call forwarding a phone?

is there a mailbox 555 setup?

if you remove ext 555 and just setup a mailbox 555 they can do f986 then 555

also check to make sure that ext 555 is being forwarded to the vmail dn

CUstomer stated that x555 had a did pointed directly to it and when called it went directly to voicemail box.
I see x555 in the system but it is on a port that doesnt exist as there is no card in the system for that extension.
When you call the did or x555 it rings busy.

OK, found it. The did line rings to AA2 and from there the call transfers into voicemail.

you can also set up an express messaging line so the did rings directly into the mailbox and does not hit that auto attendant
