Hi,

Can someone tell me how to exit Access without saving the current database changes that I have made?

Thanks,
Lori

By restoring a backup ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Besides that, is there a way to close the application without saving latest changes? For example, when closing Microsoft Word, if you haven't done a save to your document, it asks you if you want to save, upon exiting. I was just wondering if there was a similar feature in Access, so if you know you made a major mistake, you could choose to simply exit without saving, rather than going through the hassle of restoring to an earlier version.

Most applications have an option to exit without saving; I haven't found such an option in Access and am wondering.

Thanks,
Lori

As far as I know only design changes may be canceled on close.

Do you mean to do a File --> Close rather than a File --> Exit, and that would at least cancel design changes?
Thanks, Lori
