How to call / add a program into Director? 1

If we are using Director to create multimedia. Can Director call or add a program inside the Director? Example putting paint shop pro into the multimedia u are going to create. Can they be added into the Director? How to do that? What are steps to take to add/call the program in director? [sig][/sig]

you can open an app, but thats about it.
the code is along the lines of
open "c:\paintshoppro\paint.exe"
