I hope someone can enlighten me in figuring out on how can I run a VB exe from ASP page which will return a value and this value will be passed back to the ASP page .

Thanks

You'll have to make a component for that. ActiveX something.

Create an activeX control to run Serverside(or if you want users to interact with it, which would require IE of course) , you can either create an ActiveX dll, or a ActiveX Control(like the dll only allows a visual interface)
Karl
kb244@kb244.8m.com
<a href=
Experienced in , or have messed with : VC++, Borland C++ Builder, VJ++6(starting),VB-Dos, VB1 thru VB6, Delphi 3 pro, Borland C++ 3(DOS), Borland C++ 4.5, HTML, ASP(somewhat), QBasic(least i didnt start with COBOL)

hmmm - you can actually have forms - callable from a browser - in a dll you know. Chap who works with me showed me the other day, didn't look difficult. Have a poke around the .dll project types, shout if you can't figure it out and I'll dig up the example project.

Mike
Mike_Lacey@Cargill.Com
<a href= Cargill's Corporate Web Site
Please don't send me email questions without posting them as well. Post the question and send me a note saying "Have a look at so-and-so would you?" - that's fine.
