how to call a report from a job

Hi I am new to oracle reports. so i am asking some basic questions. i was able to develop a report which will create a text file. can this report be called by job from oracle server at regular intervals. the report develeoped picks data from tables and will generate the report and out put is the text file. using oracle reports 6i and oracle server8i. thanks in advance....mohan

I don't think it may be called from Oracle job directly, you need to write some wrapper library (.dll or .so) to call it via extproc. Though you may call your report from some OS scheduler (cron, at). The name of executable is rwrun60.
