How to browse Internet whilst connected to VPN

I have created VPN connection to Windows 2000 server on homeworker's MAC OX10. VPN works fine and can synchronise Entourage with Exchange. However, cannot browse Internet from Mac whilst conected to VPN. In Windows, this is resolved by setting TCP/IP properties " do not use the default gatweay on the remote connection".

Anyone know how to ddo this on the MAC?
