how to break excel access passpord?

I have a excel files which locked by my colleague with password, which prevent me to open it, how to break for password, or is there any alternative way?

There are two ways to access the file:
1. use third party tools or services (paid), that will break the password using brute force,
2. ask your collegue for the password (usually free).
