How to block Junk Fax

Hello everybody,

I have a problem with some junk faxes that are coming into my mail boxes and they are causing some problems with my user (Directors and CEO). Exist some way to block this faxes or exit some Best practices to handle this issue?

Are they from the same fax # or even a small group of fax #s? If from the same #, then I know that some CO providers have a stop fax service. Basically, you call the service, give your # and the # of the offending fax. They will then send an official legal document via fax to the offending fax # informing them not to send any more to your #. This really only works if the fax at the other end receives the legal fax. Going further, you can go to the provider and look at blocking calls from certain #s.

I know that you are probably more looking for a solution that involves the Mitel product line, but I am not aware of such an application.

This is a very similar problem discussed in recent threads where people want to use the Mitel equipment to block or reroute calls from certain #s. BLOCKING of calls would be handled at the CO provider level, but some Mitel products can REROUTE calls based on CLID of the inbound call.
