hello i was wondering how i could become a certified cable installer (CommScope, Systmax, Belden, Levington). I'm already looking into getting the BICSI installer 1 certification hopefully this is a good start.
another thing is that i dont have a company or work for one so i have no idea how to get the other certifications. it looks like you have to have a company or work with one that is partners with them to be able and get certified.

Most certifications for cabling are provided by the cable manufactures that provide warranty certifications for there products and installations. They will sometimes provide train on proper terminations and routing of cabling.

If you are really into it and this is what you want to do get with a company (preferably union) on an entry level (Apprentice) and work up the ladder (literally).
the company will pay for your training. Thanks.
