How to backup lotus notes DB?

Hi Tjthala
Lotus Domino does not have any utilities to make backup of databases. I know two possibilities of making backups:
1. Using tools provided by operating system:
- for Unix tar for example
- for Windows ntbackup.
Because it isn't possible to make backup of dbs while Domino is working, the fastest way to make backup is:
- shutdown the Domino server
- copy dbs to the external folder
- turn on the Domino server
- make backup using the operating systems's tool
2. Using thirdy part applications
It is important to make sure, that the application has the agent for backing up Domino dbs (the agent for open files isn't enough)
I have experiencies with 2 applications - Veritas Backup Exec and Brighstore ArcServe.
