I am new with this switch and have not had any formal training on it. Most of what I have learned has been self taught. I am looking for a way to fully backup the configuration of a 2000IPS with 3 Pims using Matworx 6.3.2 but I cannot find that option. The only backup I see immediately is to the eeprom. Is there a way to get all the settings and save them to a file on my PC for backup?

look under SYSTEM choose the SAVE LOAD VERIFY and the window will come up. Click on the SAVE tab. Select MP card and then select ALL office data for MP (Basic + Option).

type in an office name (name of your site or business) and then click on the square in the File Name box and choose the destination of your back up file. The file will have a .ofd extension. Let the backup run fully, NEVER abort a backup. If there is a problem with your backup Matworx will tell you and timeout.

You may want to upgrade your Matworx to 7.0 6.3 is not going top work on some version of IPS.

Thank you and I will contact Qwest for the upgrade as they are my vendor.
