How do i automate view refresh so that everytime when server receives mail, the clients Inbox-view shows it??

I tried Database Properties -> Replication settings -> advanced ->[check] Replicate a subset of documents, but it doesnt stay [checked] after I close the Database Properties...

Do I have to re-design the View or what???

Try using Notes Minder (nminder.exe). It once executed, it will run as a service, constantly monitoring for new mail. It will advise the user that he/she has new mail right away. Other option is to go to "user preferrence" and have notes checking for new mails every minute and check on the notification option.

Thanks

If I understand your question, this is a matter of client preference. The server will not (and definitely SHOULD not!) look for the user every time the user receives an e-mail. The client, however, can set the default interval in their preferences between checks to the mail server.

Some people want their mail instantly. Others don't.

Now, if you are trying to get someone's attention instantly, and trying to use e-mail to accomplish that end, you might want to send them an e-mail to their pager instead, or just beep them. Even if you get the mail to go off instantly, they may not be looking at the screen, or even have Notes running. Their pager is on for sure.
