How to automate thru sftp

Can someone guide me how to write shell script using sftp command to automate login & password & sending file to FTP server.

Not possible unless you use something like the expect command.

Also you could try the secure copy scp instead of sftp.

Consider useing ssh keys for a password-less login so you could scp or sftp easily.
