My client had to delete file in their home user ,but user disk space did not return to their user. they must to "PURGE" in command prompt after deleted file, it 's non sence. Can I set in netware for auto return disk space to user then they never "PURGE" themselve.

You can set their directory to purge immediate. But then they will never be able to salvage thier files.

Brian

Yup, you can set AUTO PURGE = ON but if the user by accident wipes out their entire directory, then you need to make sure you have a good backup.

Mark C. If deleting a file which was not immediately purged caused a space problem for the user, you might have a problem with too tight a Space Restriction on this client or all clients - loosen up! Or your volume might be getting too full -add space to this volume, or add another drive to the server and move some or all of the user directories there. Disk space is cheap, and Netware 5 mounts and uses it so efficiently, it's silly not to put enough online.
Fred Wagner
frwagne@ci.long-beach.ca.us
