Hi Guys,
I design a music publication that uses icons such as 'Jazz', 'RnB', 'Funk', etc. These icons exist as Illustrator EPS files imported into 1cm x 1cm image boxes in Indesign CS2 and placed next to the relevant copy within text boxes. I was wondering if there was a way in Indesign that I could simply type eg. 'Shift - J' in a text box and have the 'Jazz' icon appear? Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks!

I don't know of any without some sort of scripting.

For easy access to repeated use, you can make a library (File menu/New/Library. Name and save that so you can use it in future editions. Drag the images into that library. When using them, just drag from the library window onto your document.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4

Hey man,
Thanks for your reply. Got the library down. It's just these icons appear about a hundred times per feature and was wanting a way other than dragging them onto the page. Thanks heaps, though.
