We have the nortel norstar and it crashed recently. We reloaded most of the parameters and they are working fine, however the Hunt Group 2 does not display properly on a couple of the phones, although Hunt Group 1 and 3 do. I know how to get in through the passwords, but and assign other features to those buttons but cannot find the feature code to assign a hunt group to a button nor find an example of this in the manuals. I think it is the same process as assigning an answer dn button, but do not know how to do that either. Any help would be appreciated.

When you add an extension as a member of a hunt group the phone system automatically assigns one of the buttons on the extension as the hunt group button. You cannot move it once assigned. To find where the system put it, do a Feature * 0 and press the buttons on the phone until you find it.
Members CAN be assigned to Ring only. Then there would be no hunt group button and the calls would come in on their intercom keys. MRoberts

I got "stuck" with this one aswell, and in fact the system decided to move the HG key as I was moving some other keys on an extension.
- what seemed to happen is that if I created a "blank" key before the HG jet, the HG key would move to the blank position. (In the end it ended up on key 1)

What I did was then to copy another extension (with the HG key at an acceptable place) config to the extension that I just messed the HG key up on.

So, by using the copy facility you can at least make the extensions all consistant across your site.

(ps, Im newbie to Norstar and switches, so this was discovered by trial and error! (On a UK CICS system with release 4))

I disagree and that you have to program the key if needed, go into where you add the members and then press show while viewing a member then it should say "ring" or "appear and ring", I always make my hunt groups ring only (to the intercom key) so that it will free up keys.
