how to archive system logs monthly

How can I archive and then back-up monthly system logs like failedlogin, wtmp, sulog using the syslog.conf file?Is there a method of rewriting this log files every month?

The three log files you mention are not managed by syslog so you can't do it that way. You would need to use cron and some simple archive script.
