Hi,

I have set up published applications on my Windows 2000 Server to be distributed across the network to specified users only.

I create a new Group Policy, by right clicking the domain, selecting properties, etc. etc.

Now I have 2 Group Policies, my new one, and Default Group Policy.

I apply the published software setting to the new policy and when the user logs on nothing happens.

If I apply the published software settings to the Default Group Policy, the software is published on log on and works like a charm.

Could someone please explain how to assign and deassign specified users from a particular Group Policy Object?

Thanks in advance

JF

Create an OU for the users, move them there. Link the GPO to the OU

OR on the security tab of the gpo, remove everyone, and manually assign the read and apply Group policy to the suers you want the gpo assigned to.

Great, that worked now, I created a new OU as instructed.

I suppose if you really think about it, it was obvious.

Thanks for the help, very appreciated.
