Hi everybody,

I want to use an image as a background on the page and make it bright (100%) on the extreme right ot extreme left fading gradually towards the spine. Does anybody know how to do this?

Thanks

Best to do in an image editing app like Photoshop or Illustrator.

Other than that. you can make a box that equals the size of the pic, put it over the pic. fill with a lnear gradient, with one of the colors equalling 0 for C, m, y, & k. Then play with the transparency via transparency window as well as playing with the gradient itself.

To achieve the effect yu want, you might have to overlay more than one gradient box, playing with the transparecny in each. Again, it's easiest to do the work in a more appropriate app and bring that into ID.

Using OSX 10.3.9 on a G4
