How to always show Hunt Group name

BCM 400 w/ 4.0 software here...

I'm trying to modify a huntgroup so a member's phone always states "XXXX calling" where XXXX is the name of the hunt group. At present this works if the caller is a withheld number, but if not, the caller's phone number shows instead. I've been assuming this behaviour is something to do with CLID, so I've experimented with switching CLID on and off for both the hunt group DN and the user's DN, but so far this hasn't had any effect. I notice the hunt group in question doesn't have a line assigned to it. Does anyone know the correct settings to achieve what I want?

Go into the Hunt groups and change the name to what you want it to display.

The Hunt group is named correctly, otherwise the name wouldn't show for withheld numbers, would it? My problem is, with a non-withheld number, that number shows instead of the hunt group name on the handset when it rings.

Under each DN, you can choose First Display on CLID. Your choices are Name, Number, or Line. Try changing to Line. Line Name is also configurable, if that overrides Number, with out your HG Name.

The only way I have got this working in the UK is to remove CLIP of the incoming PRI.

In our scenario, with CLIP active, it would show the callers number, if we withheld our number and dialled it showed the HG name.

Don't know whether this will work in your case, but it solved our issue.
Obviously, we had target lines assigned to our HG

NCSS, NCDS, NCTS
