I need to know how to allocate more ram to my integrated video chipset. Im running it in my compak 5000T. I know this is possible as I once seen it done but cant remember for the life of me how to do it. It currently stats it has 5 mb's of ram in use but I know it can use up to 16+ so if anyone can tell me how to do this it would be very much appreciated. I wonder what life would be like in a perfect PC world where nothing went wrong... *dreams and drools*

Hi Deamon!
5mb seems a bit of an odd number? anyway this adjustment is made in the bios, not sure about compak's but normally to access bios press the delete button after the first boot screen (look on the boot up screen it normally tells you how to access bios setup)
Once into the bios enter the differant screens untll you find one that says shared memory VGA or something like that, change from the 5mb? to 16mb or even 32mb if it will allow, remember that you are taking this memory away from other resources so only set high if you have plenty of ram. Replying helps further our knowledge, without comment leaves us wondering.

Thank you Pap! I thought it was in my bios but couldnt find any thing in there about it. I rechecked and sure as #$%@ it was there lol. Anyways the only reason I know the card is using 5 megs is that when I ran the directx checker it said my video card was using a maximum of 5 megs lmao so now its back to running 32mb. Thanks again....
