How to Align Subreport data with Report data? 1

I'm inserting a subreport into a report in the details section. I'm trying to line up all of the columns from the subreport and report. I made the borders go away. I have no problem doing this in design mode, but when I preview the subreport the columns are not lined up. And, in preview mode the size of the box that contains the subreport is about twice as large as it is in the design mode.

The end result is I can only put about 15 rows per page, as opposed to 30 without the subreport. That and things are not lined up.

To line up the fields, use the ruler at the top, if the field in the main report is at the 2 mark, put the field you want to line up with it on the 2 mark in the sub report.

To get rid of the empty space in the sub report when it prints on the main report, go back into the sub report and
and suppress all the sections on it that are empty or have data that you don't want on your main report.

Thanks for the response. I've done that, I suppressed everything but the details and shrunk the details down as well. The subreport still takes up twice as much space as it needs.....
