how to advertise in a website

HI,
I am starting a website were I want to advertise and charge for it.
I don't know how much I should charge and how to do it.
Is there any program or code to place different adds at certain time or to change every certain amount of time of averytime you swith to a different page?
how does it work? you carge for time, number of clicks, month? Is there ay program to manage that?
Any help would be ver apreciated.

however, with the dot.slump, you wont find many of the "big spenders" coming to you to pay for advertisements. YOu need to establish a visitor count first ( ie, we have 10,000 unique visits to our page per day) as a selling point. Otherwise, you'd lose to teh big time advertisements like Yahoo and Google does.

Price depends on your site, if your site is not designed well you won't sell any ads. Your site needs to be popular and well maintained. CGI,PHP,ASP are the languages you'd be looking for to setup an ad campaign.

Hi mate,

This is your site and your promotion, we cannot tell you how much to charge or how to charge, you need to decide that for yourself.

Having said that, unless you have a site that attracts a very high number of unique targetted hits, then you are not likely to sell any advertising space.

If you want to include advertisments from an agency and get paid by them, then try tradedoubler (Think thats what its called??)
