Hi,
I know we cannot manually make the size of the Pivot chart smaller. Is there any way of doing it by VBA? Or the charts will look quite stupid. No one needs charts that big. Of course, I can copy the chart to a worksheet so it's not hard to adjust the size but sometimes it's preferred to do something on the original Pivot Chart.
I really saw some smaller P.C. but no way of finding out how people made it.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I know we cannot manually make the size of the Pivot chart smaller.
What are you referring to? A chart SHEET or a chart embedded in a sheet?

ANY CHART in a chart sheet fills the sheet.

What is you requirement?

It is possible to put ANY CHART on a sheet and manipulate the POSITION & DIMENSONS.

It is also possible ot put multiple charts in a chart sheet.

What is you requirement? Please explain clearly, cincisely and completely.

Hi,

OK, if you have PivotTable, you can certainly create a Pivot Chart by right-clicking the mouse and selecting PivotChart from the dropdown. That chart is too big and cannot be adjusted as far as I know.

I can also activate a cell outside a PT and use Chart Wizard to create a PT chart on the worksheet where the PT is on. If I prefer the location like 'Chart10' as a new sheet, the size of chart will not be adjusted and it will be huge.

My question is if I can make it smaller on tab 'Chart10', which is a chart sheet, not a regular worksheet.

Hope I made myself clear this time.

Thanks.

This is NOT a characteristic of a Pivot Table.

It is characteristic of ALL TABLES.

1. locate you table on a SHEET.

2. INSERT a Chart without specifying any data source. Now you have an EMPTY CHART SHEET.

3. Select the table on your sheet, using the Drawing Toolbar SELECTION tool

4. COPY the selected chart

5. Activate the empth chart sheet.

6. PASTE

Stretch to size.

TIP (no extra charge ;-))

UNCHECK the Auto Scale box in the Format Chart Area -- Font TAB, immediately after creating any chart and RESIZING. This will maintain the Font Size settings that you might have specified for titles and axes.
