How do I add row heading in the crosstabs? Using Crystal 8.5

Crosstabs build their own row headings.

If you mean a column heading for the rows, I've inserted text objects before to identify them.

You can insert a heading in crosstab by creating a formula:

whilereadingrecords;
"My Row Heading"

Then use this formula as your topmost row. This will print to the left of your usual row labels, but if you right click on the row heading formula->format field->text rotation->90 and then center the text, it displays nicely. You can do the same for a column label. In either case, after inserting these labels, you would need to go to the customize style tab and check "suppress subtotal".
