I'm using VFP 9 sp2, and I want to add this Tek-Tips forum to the task pane. There seems to be some choices that are no longer valid.

TIA

Bill

To modify a Task Pane, open the Task Pane Manager and then:

1) Click Options. The Options dialog opens.
2) In the left pane, choose Task Pane Manager.
3) Click Customize.
4) Click Customize Panes.
5) Click the pane you want to modify. In this case, that's Community.

To modify the header part of the Community page:

6) Choose the View Files option button.
7) Click on News.XSL
8) Click Edit.
9) Scroll down until you find the part that lists all the sites, and you can (carefully) edit.
10) When you close the editing window, save your changes.
11) Click Save.
12) Click OK.

Thank you Tamar! It works like a charm. Of course you knew it would<g>

Thanks again,
Regards,
Bill

Actually, I had to do it to get the steps. I hadn't previously thought to change that part of that pane. Now that I know it's so easy, I just might though I rarely use the Task Pane Manager any more.

Actually, I think the Task Pane Manager is quite cool, but there's been so little uptake of it in the VFP community that I don't have a lot of reasons to open it. I'd hoped that the tool vendors would provide custom panes for their tools.
