I need to add Rmt Call Frwd Pool to an extension and cant seem to find much associated with it. Another extension that already has forwarding has 890 in this location. I have added Remote forwarding and trunk 2 trunk transfer.
I have attached a file drop of the system. The extension I am trying to get call forwarding to work on is 523. The same guy has extension 525 as well. That works and was setup before me. A compare of the 2 extensions shows only the RFC pool is not assigned.This should be 890 which is the T1 tie lines. I can use the SPM software on site, with no issues, but I just can't find out how to get this pool assigned to the extension. I am going to try a different approach, could it be I need to put the extension in the 890 pool? Thanks for your help.

Give the extension access to Pool 890

Menu > SysProgram > Start > Extensions > Dial OutCd > 523 > Enter > 890 > Enter

I was there and refrained from putting anything in because I could not see where Dial OutCd equaled Remote call forwarding pool. I should know better, the 5ESS is set up very simaliar, although most of the acronyms at least resemble what you are trying to do. Thamk you for confirming this for me. I will do it tomorrow. I take it I have everthing in order now for 523 to act the same as 525 Right? let me know when you get a chance. Thanks tommy. Brad

Looking at 523, I see "Remote Forward Allow: No" - you need to allow Remote Call Forwarding as well.
Menu > SysPaogram > Start > Extensions > ---> > Remote Frwd > RCF Extensions (if it is an option) > 523 > Enter

You're not assigning Pool 890 to the phone, you're allowing the phone to access Pool 890 by dialing the pool code instead of being restricted to accessing it through ARS (9)

Although you don't need to do it for this situation, to assign a pool to an extension, you go to Extension, Lines and Trunks, and assign just ONE of the trunks that is in the pool, which will result in a single button for the entire pool, automatically put on the first available button.

I am at the site now. The above info does not seem to populate the Remote Call Forward Pool location. This is the way to provide 890 to the phone. It already has that under pool access. I need to populate the pool for remote call forwarding. I have turned on the proper items for call forward. see attachments

OK, I need 523 to show exactly like 525. The only thing missing is the remote call forward pool number 890. How do I populate that parameter? I can only do one attachment per I guess so I will do it in two Posts

A EXTENSION INFORMATION

Once you have programmed Ext. 523 to have access to pool dial out code 890, forward the extension with #33-890-(telephone number)-# - this should show the pool for remote call forwarding and the number surrounded by #'s when you print the extension report on 523, just like 525

And don't forget the 1 before the area code, unless you're in a 10 digit local dialing area
