How to Add Parameters in Show SQL QUERY

Using CR 8.0
Sometimes when i use select expert, I see that these variables were added to the SQL in SHOW SQL Query and sometimes not. Any suggestions ????
What I need to do add a range parameter date, but do not know how. I tried using select expert but it does not show it in SQL.

Depends on what your database supports and if you use any Crystal syntax as part of the selection formula.
What the SQL query before you add the date, and what is the date function you're trying to add?
