how to add new font when u are logged in as a user

hi
I am logged in as a user on
redHat7.1 server machine, i do not
have write permission to any
directory except my own directory.
now I want to install a new font,
how this is possible??
assuming that i have a .tar.gz file with
me of new fonts.
thanks.

You will have to "su" to root to access any system directories.
