I have a client with a MICS 2.0 and a key that the button inquery shows "Line Pool B... 1#**" This is used to access a third party door strike controller (on Line 4 - Pool B)then dials 1#**. I have installed a second door strike and need to program a seperate key to dial 2#**. When I program F648 - I just get access to the line pool (8 is Pool B code). When I try to program it as an External dial key I get an error when I try to dial 82#**. I can copy the existing key but I can not figure out how to add the 2#** after the Line Pool B access. The Prefereces, button programing only shows that the current key is programed as a line pool key.

How I have done this in the past - program a seperate pool B key. For the key that you want to use for the controller - press Feature *1, press the button you wish to use, press the pool B key, enter your digits and press OK.

Those are both good suggestions. After my first few attempts at programming the key failed I became a deer in headlights...

On some older versions you had to press F*1, I/C button, Pool Code, and then the number. Then OK.

Programing the Pool key first then using it to program the external dial key worked. The new key now works exactly as the old one but with different dialed digits.:)
