How to add larger disks to clariion FC5600

Hi all,

I have a Clariion FC5600C with actually 3 disks (9GB), Flare 5.11.11, PROM 3.23
When i inserted a 18GB or 36GB disk navisphere displays
a size of 0 and under faults is stated: "drive not formatted"

What does this mean and what have i to do?
